For families
Weekly crews for teens 14–18, close to home, with the same two adults every week. You enrol your teen yourself. No school or referral needed.
What it costs
Loading…
Sponsored places pay for all or part of a place. You pay only what is left. No family is turned away because of cost.
To ask for a sponsored place, tell us when you enrol or ask any Heirith staff member.
Nothing to pay when you enrol. A place never renews on its own.
What is included
- A meal at every session.
- Rides to and from sessions, with two screened adults in the vehicle.
- Real-world visits to local businesses, farms and workplaces.
- Materials and tools for your teen's projects.
- Your teen's Vault: a record of their work that they keep.
What is free
Taster sessions are free, so your teen can try it before you decide.
When and where
Crews meet once a week on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, 5:30–8:00 pm, with a meal.
They meet at community places: libraries, churches, rec centres, farms, local businesses and the Heirith hub.
Target start: Spring 2027. We open when safety and funding steps are complete.
Who can join
- Teens aged 14 to 18.
- Living in or near a Heirith chapter area in Northeast Texas.
- A parent or guardian completes the enrolment.
- No school, grades or tests needed.
- Athletes and teens with jobs are welcome. Tell us which days work.
How to enrol
- Online: it takes about 10 minutes. You need a mobile phone number. No card is needed.
- By phone or on paper: ask any Heirith partner or staff member, and we will fill it in with you.
A parent or guardian enrols the teen. Anyone can refer a family to us, but only you can enrol.
Refunds and leaving
Draft: our lawyer is still checking this wording.
- Before the first session: a full refund.
- If we cancel a session: a make-up session or a credit.
- If your teen leaves partway: a refund for sessions not used, minus costs we already paid for them, such as tickets.
- Refunds go back to whoever paid: you, a sponsor, or both.
What Heirith is not
- Not a school. We receive no school records.
- Not tutoring.
- Not a licensed child care or camp program.
- Not a crisis or mental health service. In an emergency, call 911. In a crisis, call or text 988.
Heirith is run by Heirloom Vine Institute, a for-profit company, not a charity.
