Mentors and helpers

Lead a crew of teens one evening a week, or be the second adult who keeps every session safe. Every role is paid per session through payroll.

Mentor or certified community facilitator

Age 30 or older.

You lead the same crew every week for a 12-week season. Each crew has a named primary lead and a named backup lead.

Facilitators come from the community: faith groups, businesses, farms, civic groups, or school staff acting in a community role.

Steps to lead

  1. Apply and talk with us.
  2. References.
  3. Background check.
  4. Heirith training and certification.

Crew helper

Age 21 or older.

You are the second adult at every session and every ride. You never lead a crew, and you are never alone with a teen.

Steps to help

  1. Fingerprint background check.
  2. Signed conduct agreement.
  3. Abuse-awareness training with an exam.
  4. Orientation.

Helpers drive only if our insurer approves.

Pay

Mentors, facilitators and helpers are paid per session through payroll. We share pay details when you apply.

How we work

  • Two adults at every session and every ride.
  • No private messages with teens. Every message is in a group thread Heirith staff can see.
  • No sharing personal phone numbers or social media with teens.

Want to lead or help? Tell any Heirith staff member. Online applications are not open yet.
